Shipping & Returns

How orders are shipped, when they arrive, and what to do if something is wrong with a delivery.

Shipping

Because orders vary widely in size, weight, and destination, shipping is quoted per order rather than published as a fixed rate. Your quotation will state the shipping method and whether freight is included in the price or charged separately.

  • Smaller orders typically ship by parcel carrier
  • Pallet and bulk quantities ship by freight, with delivery arranged to suit the site
  • Where you prefer to use your own carrier account or freight forwarder, tell us at the quotation stage and we will arrange collection

You are responsible for providing an accurate delivery address and for ensuring someone is able to receive and, where required, unload the shipment.

Lead times

Lead time depends on the item, the quantity, and whether the configuration is a stocked or a made-to-order specification. An indicative lead time is given with your quotation and confirmed when the order is accepted.

If a confirmed lead time changes, we will contact you as soon as we know. Ready-to-use and custom-specification items generally carry longer lead times than bulk-packed stock items.

International orders

Where we ship outside the destination country stated on your quotation, any duties, import taxes, and customs charges are your responsibility unless the quotation says otherwise. You are responsible for ensuring the products may lawfully be imported and used in the destination country.

Checking your delivery

Please inspect every delivery promptly. Note any visible damage or shortage on the carrier's paperwork at the point of delivery, and photograph the packaging and contents before unpacking further.

If you find damage, shortages, or incorrect items, contact us with your order number and, where available, the lot number on the packaging. Keep the affected goods and their packaging until the issue is resolved, as we may need them returned or photographed.

Returns

Returns cover supply problems. If an order arrives non-conforming, damaged, or incorrect, we will put it right. Contact us before returning anything — returns are accepted only when authorized in advance, and unauthorized returns may be refused.

What we will take back

  • Products that do not conform to the agreed specification
  • Products damaged in transit
  • Items shipped in error

Where a claim is valid, we will replace the products or credit their purchase price, at our option, and we will cover return shipping.

What we cannot take back

Because these are packaging components for controlled processes, correctly supplied products cannot be returned once their condition can no longer be assured. This includes:

  • Sterile, depyrogenated, or ready-to-use products where the packaging has been opened, since the supplied condition can no longer be assured
  • Products made or processed to a custom specification
  • Products that have been used, filled, labelled, or otherwise altered
  • Products that have not been stored in line with their documentation

If you are unsure whether a product suits your process, ask us for the specification documentation, or request a sample, before committing to a production quantity.

Contact

To report a delivery problem or request a return authorization, use our contact form or email [email protected] with your order number. These terms operate alongside our Terms of Service, which set out Numa Scientific Supply's warranty and liability position.
